Dear Editor,

As a REALTOR® and a resident of Greenville County, I am passionate about the quality of life not only in the upstate, but in our state as a whole. That is why I am so excited to see the newest project from the South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR), the South Carolina Good Life Initiative. This project is designed to promote and protect the best quality of life across the state and right here in Greenville.

Greenville has consistently been recognized as one of the strongest manufacturing sectors in the country and is known as the “economic engine of South Carolina”. We want to keep this powerful economy growing even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Economic growth and entrepreneurship are of major importance in Greenville. In 2019, we had one of the best years ever for economic development. In fact, we are lucky to be the home of many major businesses such as Michelin, GE Power, Flour and Synnex and many more. This project allows for us to highlight why more major companies should make Greenville their home. By bringing in more companies, we will be able to create more jobs and allow for greater economic growth.

Along with the economy, this project also focuses on public safety, affordable housing and education. We recognize that with the expected population growth, these issues are also of concern for many residents. SCR is committed to improving and maintaining the quality of life that South Carolinians want to keep, and by working with the local community, we can ensure that your concerns are heard.  For more information, please visit www.goodlife.screaltors.org or email goodlife@screaltors.org.

Sincerely,

Lisa Alexander
